The nightmare stops at the tug of its reins. Keon looks through the shimmer of the Veil. Sunlight sparkles on the forest of Alu'nda'n Glade. The trunks vary in shades of gold and copper, chased with green and black in the barks ridges. Emerald and silver sparkles from the leaves dot the near twilight beneath the gemlike arch of boughs.

Keon urges his mount through the Veil and onto the path. The trees were truly alive, not created from the precious metals and gems they resemble. He smiles at the beauty of his world. No wonder the few Humans who glimpsed the woods called it the Enchanted Forest. He wonders if Star would like a smaller version for her home, a peace offering so to speak.

His own home lies deeper in the woods. Taking a smaller trail, he and Trooper soon arrive at the home of another Dark Lord.

"Well met Keon!"

The Sidhe is leaning against a tree, watching the swordplay of another pair of men. His fair hair lifting slightly in a gentle breeze, he waves negligently to Keon.

Keon smiles. Twill may seem casual, but never doubt his abilities. Keon dismounts and hands the man the baggie. They soon disappear inside.

Trooper lays in the sun, basking in its warmth. He raises his head, watching Keon remount. Twill waves and Keon is soon lost among the trees. Trooper looks up as Twill drops to the grass beside the Hound.

"Well lad, share what you scented?"

The trees are peaceful, a quiet that settles into the heart. There is the slight sound of the breeze dancing in the leaves. He inhales the fragrance of the woodlands. He has missed home, but there are Sidhe to bring to justice.

Morgan will make a mistake. Conal's bones will be recovered for Gareth, and last but not least, Star will have restitution. This, he vows.

One last look, and Keon urges his mount through the Veil, back into the Human Realm.
