Stoney closes his eyes, taking a hard grip on himself.
"Mon Chaton... I am sorry. You need to get home. Give me a moment? I do not want you to have to touch" His hand sweeps over himself and the battle's remnants. "this."
He kneels beside her and presses a kiss to her forehead, careful to not touch her with any part of him that is blood covered. Looking at the stream, he steels himself against the cold and plunges in, letting the water wash him clean.
Dripping, he climbs the bank. In moments, he is in his gargoyle form. Filling the gouges with clean mud, he washes his hands clean and returns to Alise. gently he scoops her up. Her small sound of pain nearly undoes his tight control. A tear slips down his nose, tumbling into her lap. The amber stone glinting softly.
"Let's go home, mon amor.
Je'taime, Alli... *Vous ĂȘtes mon coeur, le soleil de ma vie. Je mourrais sans vous. Let's go home, Chaton...
He looks at Nicholas and Raina. More tears hover, close to spilling over. "Merci, mes amis."
Stoney thrusts them skyward, pumping his wings to clear the trees. He holds her close so the heat generated by the effort of flight will keep her as warm as possible.
*You are my heart, the sunshine of my life. I would die without you.
