Alise is overwhelmed with relief. If Mortuis said Jean-Marc would never be back, then she believed him. Mortuis would not lie to her.

Back at the cottage, Alise, Stoney and Rowan go inside. Raina takes Panther out for a run and to wait for Nick who has gone to the manse to wash up. Alise and Rowan settle near the fireplace, Stoney brings in more wood and starts to build the fire. The two women visit, having many questions for one another. When they are done, Alise lets out a long breath, “So, do you think its possible? That I am going to have a baby?”

Alise glanced at Stoney who was heading into the kitchen. Again Rowan notices that strange flow of energy and aura between them. That is so different... I wonder who I can ask about that.... She blocks it out, so that she doesnt stare. “I am almost positive Alise. I could see it in your eyes when we met. And I have only been wrong a couple of times in my life.”

Alise gasps, “In my eyes? Are you truly a witch then?

Smiling Rowan shakes her head, “I dont think it means the same thing now. Its a gift I have, taking care of women. I dont know a word in french for healer, midwife, herbalist. My religion is a separate thing, we can talk about that sometime if you are curious.”

*“Une femme sage... I seem to remember maman speaking to one, but I dont know what about.. we took the horses through the woods...” Alise sighs, “But that is all that comes to me for now..”

Rowan retrieves one of her bags, and starts to rummage through it. “In any case, you should take a test, then we will know for certain. I am sure I have some pregnancy tests in here.” When she finds one, Rowan tries to explain to Alise how it works and what she should do.

Alise starts to giggle and cant stop. “That cant possibly work. Why would peeing on that stick tell me anything?”

Rowan laughs, “Well, it does. You will just have to trust in medical advances.” She hands Alise the test stick, “Do you want to do this alone or do you want some help? Just remember that whoever is with you is the first one to know for sure besides yourself.”

Alise sends her thoughts to Stoney, not sure if he has been paying attention to their conversation or not. What do you think Chiot? Do you want to help me with this? I can ask Raina but you should know first....
