“I have to take my shirt off, otherwise dragon rips my clothes to hell. I'll try to keep my back to you....” Raina doesnt want to give Alise anything else to worry about.. She moves several feet away, removes her shirt and moves her pants down far enough so that the entire dragon tattoo is visible. Raina hears Alise gasp and chatter away in french. She smiles, the tattoo covers her neck, entire back and more than half her ass. It does tend to take people by surprise. She stretches her arms wide and speaks to her dragon in an ancient language. The air around her shimmers and ripples, and the dragon lifts off her back, gaining in size as he moves away from her. Raina lifts her hand to rub his snout and the huge dragon nuzzles her with his head as she speaks to him. With a puff of air in Rainas face the giant creature takes flight and soon is lost from sight. She puts her shirt back on and lets the snake go, then the panther.
Alise is fascinated. The panther looks like Raina, shiney black hair and emerald green eyes. Raina motions for her to come to them and Alise slowly walks to her and the panther who is laying on her back enjoying a belly rub.
“Let her sniff..” and Raina talks to the panther in that same strange language she used with the dragon. The cat sniffing Alise starts to rub its head against her, almost knocking her over and purring loudly.
“She likes you. She will be good company for you while he is stone. But to warn you, she tends to hog the bed if you let her on it..”
Alise laughs, “I dont care, she can sleep with me if she likes.”
“Okay, but dont blame me if you end up on the floor. You can bring her back with you or call me if you want me to come and get her.” Raina gives Stoney her cell number in case they need it. He starts to thank her again, but Raina stops him, “I dont mind really. She reminds me so much of... of someone I knew a long. long time ago....” Her eyes fill with sadness, those memories always just below the surface, threatening to choke her. “Take care of her. I keep getting this strange feeling, a foreboding or something uneasy. We need to stay vigilant I think..”
Alise walks up to them at this point, the big cat with her. “We cant stop at the lake can we Chiot?”
“No, Bebe, not tonight. It would be safer if we go directly to the manse. I am sorry..”
Alise nods her head. “Its all right.” She turns to Raina and wraps her arms around her, “Merci, ma soeur. I will take good care of panthere for you.”
Raina looks at Nicholas, standing in the shadows watching her. She can sense the wanting in him, making her weak kneed and longing to be alone with him. Gods, what he does to me with just a look....and concern?? What would he be worried about?
“Come on lover, we need to talk about what you owe me....”
