Stoney slides his arm around Alise and gently places her between himself, Raina, and Ob. His voice is calm, belying his rage. His mind caresses Alise gently even though she can feel his need to strike at Jean-Marc.

*"Elle n'est pas à vous, Jean-Marc. Son père a fini les fiançailles quand il a découvert votre nature vraie. En outre, elle aurait été jusqu'à ce que la mort vous ait séparé, et elle a fait."

He stands in front of Alise, blocking her from his view. Stoney looks at the crowd surrounding them. Many are showing signs of being close to changing. All are focused on Jean-Marc.

"I would walk very carefully in this town. You have insulted many people here this evening. Remember what the Americans do to those who think they have the right to walk on them." He shakes his head. "Alise has many friends, mon ami. Remember that."

He gives Jean-Marc a cold smile. "Oh, and don't let the door hit you on the way out. I don't think the owner wants to have to clean your scum off it."

*She is not yours, Jean-Marc. Her father ended the betrothal when he found out your true nature. Besides, it would have been until death parted you, and it did.
