Rowan follows Mortuis to the cottage, he knocks and enters, saying hello to a very pale gentleman sitting close to a banked fire in the fireplace. Rowan notices he seems colder than normal when she is introduced and shakes his hand. The room is warm and furnished comfortably. Panther wanders out of the bedroom to see who has come in...

“Oh, I hope that is a friendly cat you have, Mortuis”, Rowan says, smiling when she thinks of all the creatures that share the manse with the owner.

Raina steps from the bedroom, “She is friendly, just let her sniff.” Rowan holds her hand out and soon Panther is rubbing her head on Rowans leg and purring. “My name is Raina, and this is Panther.”

Mortuis makes the introductions, “Your patient is in here." He places a hand on the gargoyle's shoulder. "This is Bloodstone; stone now, but flesh after dusk."

Rowan enters the bedroom and sees a small figure laying on her side in the bed. Her good hand stretched out and touching the gargoyle at the side of the bed. The other hand with fingers neatly splinted and taped. The room is dimly lit but Rowan can see that both her eyes are black and swollen, one more so than the other. Rowan covers her mouth with a hand, “Who could do such a thing? And I assume the back is worse?” At Rainas nod, Rowan creeps closer, careful not to wake Alise, making note of the dry skin, and feeling her forehead and neck. Good, only a slight temp maybe from the dehydration... She lays a hand on Stoneys arm, “I will take good care of her for you. Right now I am going to let her sleep. When she wakes I need to examine her and I will explain everything to both of you before I do it so she isnt frightened. I'll talk to you again soon.”

Rowan leaves the bedroom and starts to take a few things out of her bag. She has an odd combination of modern medicines and traditional herbal ones. “Nice job on the fingers, Mortuis, but I would expect no less. Is there a refrigerator here? This solution for her back needs to be kept cold. When did she last eat and how much?” Rowan frowns when she finds out Alise has only kept down a few sips of broth. “Mortuis, can your sylphs make some tea from this Bea Balm? I want it ready when she wakes up. It will soothe her stomach and help with her appetite.”

Mortuis nods. "All will be done as you ask. Should you have need of other things, have the sylphs send for me. I will make whatever arrangements are necessary.”
