Raina smiles, “Yes, I just cant get over Alise killing Jean-Marc, but I am glad she did. It may help her heal in the days to come, to know that she was strong enough to take her own revenge.”
Nick nods..”I think she'll be fine. She has a lot of people that care a lot about her.”
Raina watches as the rider takes the clay and hears her words for Stoney. A language she hasnt heard in some time but it is still familiar. She turns to Stoney and translates, “Have faith, Valkyries brother. She will heal.”
Raina turns and sees Alise, pale and swaying a bit. She walks hurriedly to where she has been standing. “Are you all right? You dont look so well..” and she puts an arm around Alise to steady her as she stumbles.
“I dont feel well, my hand...” Alise is close to tears, her good hand cradling the injured one, it looking more swollen and red after stabbing Jean-Marc.
“Damn it, I didnt think, that had to have been hard on your hand. Here, I can carry you back to the cottage..” Raina moves to lift Alise but is stopped by Stoneys hand on her arm.
“No Raina, I will take my Allie.” and he lifts her easily, holding her close.
“But your leg. You've been limping, let me help...” Raina is worried that he might fall.
“I will be fine, it is nothing compared to what she has been through. She needs me now, I will take care of her. She is my life.” and he kisses her cheek and whispers to her in french, getting a smile from Alise in response.
Raina steps back, amazed at how much these two care for and love one another. “All right, I guess I can come and at least open doors for you.” and she motions to Nick to follow along, just in case..
