Star looked up and gasped softly when she saw the red hands that Ramji was holding. She watched as the girl backed away and disappeared into the crowd.
Raina could see the thoughts running through Stars mind not to mention that once you knew her well, her eyes gave away her thoughts. Raina stood back as Star walked over to Ramji and Dmitri. She kept any eye on her ready to move if need be but Raina let her go. Hopefully Erik and I wont argue about this later... he is so protective, which I get... but still....
Star quietly approached Ramji and Dmitri who had their backs to her, watching the retreating figure of the girl slip through the crowd of people.
Both men turned at the same time to see Star quietly standing in front of them. Surprise shown clearly on their faces before both bowed their heads and said “Milady...”
Stars eyes went from brown with concern for the girl to orange with confusion to the deference shown to her.
“You dont have to lower your heads like that..”
Ramji smiled and said, “But milady, the prophecy....” He sensed her confusion and added, “It is from respect, for you and the son you carry...”
He watched as her eyes changed color so fast he wasnt certain if he saw it or not.
“That girl you were talking to, what is her name?”
“She did not say” Dmitri responded, “Ramji scared her off before we could ask...”
“Her hands, was the skin dry and cracked or moist? Bleeding?” Stars eyes went back to brown, concerned about the girl she didnt even know.
Ramji's eyes go hard with anger at the thought of the tiny hands that rested in his for a moment. “They were very dry with deep cracks and some bleeding. The wrists too...”
Star nods. “I will make a salve for her and bring it to the Tavern. Hopefully I can get it to her without him knowing... Thank you for telling me.”
