Rowan taps softly on the door before she enters Graces room. She hesitates a moment as she enters, taking in the scene before her. While most would view this as a sad occasion, and Rowan could sympathize with those left behind, to her it was comparable to attending a birth. Being in the presence of a soul transitioning, whether arriving or exiting this plane filled her with awe and wonder. Rowan felt it was her job to make either transition as calm and comfortable as possible for everyone involved. This was the calling she had been trained for and the gift the goddess had given her.

Where do we come from when we begin this journey of life? And where do we go when its finished? Such simple basic questions. Rowan says a quick prayer for strength and wisdom to help Grace and to help her friends understand.

As she approaches the bed, Tori moves to stand by Torrent. Rowan sees Herne, perched at the end of the bed on the footboard.

She inclines her head, “My lord Herne....” Rowan had heard of Graces plans and was not surprised at his presence.

“Priestess....”

Rowans attention turns to Grace, who smiles weakly, her eyes still bright and reaches a hand towards Rowan.

Kneeling at the edge of the bed Rowan takes the small wrinkled hand in her own and kisses it. “Everyone has gathered to see you. The little ones are all here too.”

As Rowan speaks she is also doing a quick examination of her patient. Taking note of her pulse, breathing, pupils but no more invasive than that. Torrent is helping her with the pain and her findings will not change the outcome. Grace is ready and had talked to Rowan before this, expressing her desire for no treatments of any kind, only help with the pain if she needed it.

After visiting for a few minutes Rowan gives Graces hand a gentle squeeze, “I should let the others visit. I do need to warn you that little Tara is having a hard time with this. Stoneys family returned to Paris earlier this evening. She is going to miss you and being an empath she is picking up on what everyone else is feeling. So dont be surprised at her emotion. Who should I send in first?”
