Alise and Star sat on a blanket in the shade of a large oak tree, Mera and Gracie napping close by and the twins crawling all over the grass, exploring every inch of the lawn.
Star laughs at their antics and the expression on Taras face when she sees Tomas pick up a bug. “They are growing so fast.”
Alise nods as she rescues the grasshopper from Tomas' clutches. “No no Tomas. They dont like to be squeezed tight. Let him sit on your hand, like this..”
Tomas squeals and laughs as the grasshopper leaps out of Alises hand and disappears into the grass.
Returning to the blanket Alise sees Star holding her stomach. “Are you all right? Does your stomach hurt?”
Star shakes her head, “I think its just nerves or excitement. The cabin... I know it will be nice when it is done, but I dont want Mera in a room by herself yet, she seems so little.”
Understanding perfectly Alise nods, “Maybe you can just have her nap in the new room when its done, to help her get used to it. I can make you some tea for your stomach....just keep an eye on those two...” and she slips into the cottage.
Standing and going to pick up Tara, Star wonders why her stomach wont settle down. She thought at first it was just the excitement of getting Mera, and then there was the horse, and now the building project. But I never seem to want to eat either. Its strange, I never get sick.... She kisses Taras neck causing a cascade of giggles from the little girl. “Maybe tomorrow I can bring my horse over and we can go for a ride, would you like that?”
At the word 'horse', Tomas' head snaps up and he starts waving his arms as if to say, “Dont forget about me, I want to ride the horse.”
