As soon as Star and Erik get back to the cabin, Star takes the small plastic tub out and fills it with warm water. Erik notices she is smiling and humming quietly, something she does when she is happy. Mera starts to squirm in his arms, almost as if she knows she is going to be getting a bath. Erik lays her on the couch and takes the little ones clothes off while Star gathers what she needs, a small towel, lotion and a gentle soap she makes herself.

“All right, I think I have it ready. I hope she likes it.” Star takes Mera in her arms and takes her to the kitchen. As she starts to lower Mera into the water, Mera gives a little smile and starts to wave her arms excitedly. Star laughs at her antics, surprised at the babies grin. Once in the water Star lowers her enough so that her gills are submerged. She watches as the water flows through them and the gills get darker in color. The tiny webs between fingers and toes get darker too and Mera tries to splash in the water.

Star raises her eyes to tell Erik to come and see when there is a knock at the door. Wolf and Lobo are instantly alert and move between Star and Mera and the door.

Erik opens the door a crack and then swings it wide when he sees Keon standing on the porch.

Star smiles and returns her attention to Mera who is happily swishing her arms and legs in the bathwater.
