The trip back to the human realm had been fairly uneventful. Tannr didnt talk much and that had been fine with Ky.

He had better have one huge apology after he sees his family.... Ky's thoughts are interrupted by the opening gate and the lights of Exton, twinkling in the dark.

The old speakeasy was dark and silent as Ky dismounted and led her horse to the stables, Tannr close behind.

“Who lives here? And why are we stopping?” he asks.

“I live here... with my family, which includes Raina.” Ky put up a hand to stall any further questions. “Later... its… well... complicated and better left for your sister to explain to you.” If she wants you to know... Ky adds to herself.

“You need a shower, before we go any further. I need to wash up, cant get the leg wet just yet. Damn stitches...”

Ky shows him to the downstairs shower and gets towels. “I hope you have clean clothes, no one here is as big as you are...” She falls silent at his nod and goes to clean up herself and call a taxi. She wanted to surprise Raina and didnt think she could walk that far.
