The next two weeks passed easily for Star. Erik took her and Ruarc home on schedule and Laila accompanied them, staying to help Star as she recovered from surgery and the birth. Mya had been greeted by Miko and several demifae, their happy chatter making Star giggle and capturing Ruarcs attention. Mya's arm was healing and Rowan had recommended the cast stay on another three weeks.

The tavern had been relatively quiet, business was good and nothing out of the ordinary had occurred inside its walls. But outside the patrols were still going out and had stopped another assault. The college kids were jittery and went everywhere now in groups.

Whenever Star went outside she could tell there were 'others' keeping an eye on her and her home. She didnt mind and it did make her feel safer to know the goblins couldnt get close to Ruarc. She went to the stables everyday even though Erik had argued with her, wanting her to stay in the house. She still wasnt supposed to lift anything heavy, so Tannr did that, but she brought a treat for her horse and brushed him every afternoon.

Raina and Rowan had visited frequently and one day they had arrived together to discuss what Star and Erik wanted for the naming ceremony. Raina had been startled at the departure from the traditional sponsors, but when Star explained her reasons for her choices of two Fae and two humans she had to agree. Their decision was a wise one and would benefit Ruarc.

Tannr had kept busy helping Star, taking his turn on patrol and spending time with Tori. The more he got to know her, the more he came to care deeply for her and respected her a great deal. He admired the work she did for her 'kids'. He knew that even if their desire for one another cooled they would be close friends forever. He thought that if Tori couldnt replace Thora in his heart, then no one could and he would just have to live with the ache that never left completely.

The compresses for Tomas' back had helped the little boy deal with his sore back and he was less cranky but they all missed Laila. He asked every morning Lala? Alise explained everyday that she would back in another week and would be going to Stars one day a week. Her and Stoney had tried to impress on Tara that she didnt need to cover for her brother, sometimes Maman and Papan needed to know things so they could help, but Alise had the distinct impression that Tara let it go in one ear and out the other. She could tell that this was something they would be dealing with many times as the twins grew.

Chloe continued to practice with her wings, wanting to go with Abby 'high up'. She had still only managed a foot or so off the ground and that suited Pandora just fine for now. She was still afraid of her child getting out of reach even with the small dragon to keep an eye on her. Ob reassured her that she would learn not to take off on them but Pandora was not convinced. Chloe had his temper and was too little to learn how to control it.
