Raina uncurls her long legs from the chair she had been napping in and stretches. It is must be late morning judging by the light in the window across the room. Her eyes scan the large room. Tannr is sprawled on the couch, one arm thrown over his face, in an attempt to block out the sun. Alise is curled up, sound asleep on the floor with the babies. Stars and Eriks son sleeping peacefully between Mera and Gracie. Lobo has found his way to the manse and rests curled at the babies feet.
Stoney and Tori had gone to their rest on a large upstairs balcony. Both not wanting to be far away from those they cared about during this crisis. Ramji had returned to the tavern to check on the patrols and Keon had been back and forth from the woods to the manse.
Rowan had started the blood for Star earlier that morning. While Stars color had improved she still gave no outward sign of life. Erik could not be budged from Stars side.
Raina stands slowly and quietly so as not to disturb anyone and wonders where Laila and Inari are. I thought they were here, and Wish and Pike too...
Her thoughts are suddenly interrupted by a commotion in the hallway... Star! NO!... please no....
Tannr is on his feet and right behind Raina as she runs from the room to see what has happened. In the hall they see Mortuis, holding Erik back, telling him to let Rowan do her job. Inari raced past them, the queens physician right behind her and they disappeared into Stars room.
“Erik! What happened?” Raina puts her arms around her brother and nods to Mortuis. “Thank you. We'll take care of him now...” She held him close and let him cry, all the pent up emotions of the past couple of days coming to a head. Tannr stands behind Erik, hands on his brothers shoulders.
“She opened her eyes for a second. I thought she was looking at me... but... then her eyes rolled back and...” Erik cant continue, and Raina doesnt ask any more questions, knowing that seeing someone in a full blown seizure is frightening to say the least.
Mortuis opens another door and motions the siblings into his study to give them some privacy.
