Alise flips her phone shut and slips it in her pocket. When she sees the stricken look on Laila's face she gives the girl a hug and tells her as much as she knows.
“It will be fine. It has to be, I refuse to believe otherwise. Rowan is the best healer there is..”
Laila nods and chokes back the tears, not wanting to upset the children.
“Call Pandora and ask her if she can watch the twins. We will bring Gracie with us. I am sure Mera will be at the Manse with Keon...” Alise starts gathering things for Gracie and adds a few things she has made for Stars baby to the small pile. Then she goes to her dresser and pulls out a couple of new shifts she had sewn for herself. She adds them to the pile, thinking Star may need them.
Laila calls Pandora, who would love to have the twins come play with Chloe, and offers for her and Ob to come pick them up, saving them some time. Then she calls Ramji and asks him to give them a ride to the Manse.
Alise sends to Stoney, letting him know whats going on. Chiot... the twins are going to the tavern with your brother and we will keep Gracie with us.... Ramji will be bringing us....
