The sun is warm on his back. If it weren't for the fact that he is stone... Stoney's reverie is cut short by a persistent itching sensation along his back. Small bites of pain has his thoughts skimming over his granite form. Nothing.

It begins again, an irritating, annoying itch. He rolls his shoulders... Stoney pulls back. His shoulders? He is in his rest form. Rolling shoulder muscles is not a possibility. centering his inner self, Stoney begins to explore the minds of those he can reach. His sibs are at their own rest, thoughts running over their respective loves and responsibilities. Alise is changing Gracie, Tara playing with a set of soft blocks. She blinks at her father's touch and hugs him with her own mind, letting him see what she is doing through her eyes.

Tomas is curled up on a blanket, clutching a pillow as he watches his favorite video. His eyes are half closed, drifting off to sleep. Touching his mind, Stoney finds his son's thoughts slipping deeper into rest. His small shoulders twitch. A whimper escapes and Laila is kneeling before him, feeling for a temperature. When he doesn't feel warm, she tucks a blanket around him, assuming he is fighting sleep.

Chaton?

Alise' mind snuggles against the touch of her husband's. He sends her a deep passionate kiss, making her eyes drift shut as she breathes deeply. Gracie coos and reaches, reminding Alise of what she is doing.

*Mon Déesse... Tomas is itching. I can feel it. He is trying to hide it from us. There is a little pain, twinges.

Alise shifts her thoughts, tracing her son's tired mind. the itch persists, keeping him from getting rest. She hands Gracie to Laila and gently pulls the little boy's t-shirt up. The skin on the two bumps on his back are red and warm to the touch.

Laila sets Gracie on the blanket next to Alise and fetches cool damp cloths. Tomas whimpers when the cool wetness touches his skin, then sighs, drifting deeper into sleep as the itching subsides. Tara crawls over to her brother and settles down beside him. She watches with big eyes until her own lids drift shut. The women cover both children and move Gracie to the kitchen to feed her.

Stoney touches Alise's mind again after checking on his twins once more.

Tara has not been sleeping well, Mon Chaton. She has been helping him hide this from us. They are nearly in stone sleep. Do not fret if they sleep longer than usual... I will monitor them, mon amour.

The sweet sound of her voice caresses his heart. Don't forget to warn me as they start to wake, Chiot. I must call Pandora so Monty can pick us up when he drives her and Chloe to visit Star and Ruarc. I still can't believe Ob rented a van.

Stoney laughs as he settles his thoughts more firmly on the twins as they rest.

*My Goddess...
