Pandora awoke early... she was lying in the dim light as she felt Stoney's thoughts skim by... his pre-sleep check on his siblings... she smiled, it was good to feel safe and loved.

Obsidian had just left and sat sentinel at the door to the roof garden... he caressed her with a gentle thought as he felt her stirring. Pandora slipped from bed and went to the door, opening it and wrapping her body around Ob's stone image... "Good night my love, sleep well... we will miss you during these daylight hours; but evening is mere hours away." She felt his caresses on her body and sighed as she stepped back and walked through their room to the nursery next door. The nanny was dozing and barely lifted her head as she recognized Pandora.

Chloe lay on her stomach,butt raised in the air... her little wings laying across her back. Pandora watched her gentle breathing as she slept... she would not waken yet for a couple of hours. The little dragon perched on her crib headboard, watching Pandora's gentle touch as she stroked back her daughter's hair.

Pandora stepped toward the doo ; surprised when the dragon perched on her shoulder and accompanied her from the room... she went out to the garden to sit and watch the sun come up, and feel the garden come to life

She lay on a recliner and the beautiful little green dragon sat on the  arm's edge... Pandora stroked her neck and listened to the contented little trills the creature made. Surprise crossed her features as she heard a voice in her mind... an unfamiliar one... "My name is Absynthe, I am sorry I took so long to tell you... you are my family now, and you should be able to talk to me by name..." Pandora caressed her head.."I am glad to have you with us Absynthe, you are a wonderful companion and guardian to Chloe,and we value your presence in our family."

The dragon rose and did one of her flights of fancy through the garden... startled birds rising from a couple of the fruit trees as she passed. She returned and landed on Pandora's lap..."I should return to Chloe, she will be alarmed if I am not there when she wakens."  Pandora rose and  the dragon perched on her shoulder as they passed Ob and Pandora opened again the nursery door... the dragon returned to the headboard and looked down upon her little charge with a trill of contentment. Pandora smiled at her as she gently closed the door.

Deciding she could really use a cup of coffee she quickly showered and slipped a pair of Levis and a soft cotton tunic on and slipped down stairs... Monty greeted her with a waiting cup of coffee just poured.."Don't you ever sleep?"... She smiled gratefully, knowing full well that the marmur really needed little sleep... his time with Ike his top priority... and a few winks with her after they made love was enough to sustain him. Monty stepped into the kitchen and returned with a warm scone and fresh butter and honey... "Monty; you are the best"... Pandora sighed as she bit into the melting softness of  the scone....
