Traeger woke with the idea of approaching Rowan today about joining her in the coven's activities... and showered and shaved thinking how much he missed seeing her. He called her cell phone and left a message asking if he could see her at some point during the day; and then busied himself with making coffee and figuring what he would work on that day. Traeger had several finished items waiting to be picked up... and had time to create something of his own design today.

He heard his bell ring on the door and Jeb came in... "I bet you're after a baby rattle'... he said as he turned to the drawers behind the counter.

Jeb accepted the item from Traeger and turned it round admiring the workmanship. The simple deer antler was from a young deer and had only two small forks. Traeger had hollowed out the base of the horn and put in some small bells,which created a mystical ringing... and he had crafted rounded silver pieces to cover the antler tips, they were worked with small flowers and leaves; the base of the horn had a similar cap of wrought silver holding in the bells. It had a delicate look,thought it still maintained the animal's essence. Jeb shook it; "That should make a little girl smile". When he attempted to pay Traeger he refused...'You're family, I may call on your help when I have a bulky item to move, does that satisfy your desire to compensate?" Jeb thanked him and Traeger slipped the rattle into a soft velvet pouch. "I know Chloe will love this."

Jeb entered the tavern passing the hellhound at the door with a pat on the head... they had formed a companionable friendship sitting together on guard.

The group at the large table drew his immediate attention, and seeing Pandora he made his way over. "I have a gift for Chloe"... he said; and gave Pandora the bag.Pandora drew out the rattle and immediately the bells began to roll creating a lilting sound. Chloe's head turned  to the sound and Pandora took the rattle and put it in her hand... Chloe gripped it tight and began waving her arm; the sound that issued made her squeal with delight... the other babes were drawn to the sound too, as were the small faes and fairies that hovered in the air above them. Pandora laughed at her daughter's excitement... "Jeb,its wonderful; thank you... and I know from its workmanship my father played a part in its creation." Jeb nodded and the next few minutes were spent watching Chloe's antics.

Jeb visited briefly round the table then said... "Well,I'm going to visit with those hardworking bar folk, and they might just fix me some vittles." He left amid cheerful goodbyes and Monty met him with a mug of hot coffee in hand.
