Morgan is incapable of rational thought. Her world is is pain. Sharp unrelenting pain. She tries to scoop the iron fillings out of her dress, causing more injury and blinding pain. Trying to get away from Jack she breaks her fingers and screams in agony. Keons words barely make sense to her. She knows she needs water and that there is none at hand.

Cassie had edged closer to the bar from the dance floor in order to see better. The shifters on either side of her had started to fur and display claws but Cassie hardly noticed, her attention focused on Morgan.

As Morgan turns to run out of the tavern, she collides head on with Cassie. Cassie goes down hard on the floor, one of the shifters falls too and lands on Cassies hip. Her gasp of pain was drowned out by Morgans screeching. It had happened so quickly Cassie didnt have time to even try to catch herself.

The screaming fades as Morgan leaves the tavern and races across the parking lot into the woods. Her only thought getting to some water to ease the pain, she heads for the lake.

In the tavern Cassie tries to sit up. The shifter is apologizing profusely and Cassie tries to tell him its not his fault but she feels suddenly ill. She struggles to lean on an elbow, she gets up on one hand, trying to catch her breath. When she tries to move a sharp pain stabs through her hips and half way up her back. Tears are close, but she was determined not to cry, not to look like a baby.

Jack sees Keon racing across the dance floor when he realizes its Cassie on the floor. Jack turns searching the crowd, he was sure he had seen Rowan earlier.
