Inari hurries into the healers tent. Blood is splattered on those closest to the bed where Erik is holding someone down, someone screaming in rage and pain. As Inari moves closer she can see that it is Raina, furious at being dragged off the battle field and held down.

Raina screams, “Its nothing! LET ME UP! DAMN IT ERIK!”

Erik is silent, the look on his face says enough. Inari speaks quietly with one of the healers. They are concerned with the amount of blood they see. The injury to her lower leg is serious and bleeding profusely.

Nick enters the tent, covered in gore, and takes in the situation with a glance. Nodding at Erik, he moves out of the way and Raina tries quickly to get up but Nick is faster. He grabs her arms and forces her to lay back.

“Raina.” His voice is quiet but his eyes are like ice. "Lie back and behave yourself or I'll hold you down myself, and you know I can do it." He draws a hand gently over the wound. "This isn't minor. If you don't let these people do their job, you could bleed to death. I know." His eyes burn into hers, but his lips quirk up into an almost-smile. "I love you, you crazy Viking. We're supposed to grow old together - or not grow old together; or whatever the fuck it is we do. We can't do that if you don't kick back, relax, and let the experts do their thing." The smile widens.

"Relax, babe. You don't have to do all the fighting. Leave some for the rest of us."

“Nick... I cant relax... it hurts....” He can sense the control in her voice and sees the tears in her eyes. “I dont want to cry, just let me scream.”

A healer leans close, “We can give you something. This has to be stitched in any case and will take some time.” The man gives Raina a small cup. The liquid is brown and bitter smelling.

Raina downs the medicine and wrinkles her nose. As she hands the cup back she looks down at her leg. Her eyes go wide, “Oh shit, it is bad.” She turns to Nick, “Stay with me until this stuff... starts... to... w...."

The healers get to work and Inari joins the men outside. “What happened? She looks like she was bitten or clawed...”

Erik nods..”It was one of those creatures, the ones with all the arms. It almost got me, was aiming for my neck. Raina saved my life. I should have been more careful... It clawed her... there was so much blood...she passed out at first and I carried her here... Its my fault....”

Nick steps out of the tent in time to hear Eriks explanation. His eyes bore into Erik's. "Bullshit. This is Morgan's fault, not yours. You want to blame someone, put it where it belongs. Raina would tell you the same, and will, when she wakes up."

“But her leg... it looks serious.” Erik sighs. “What did they say? Anything?”

Shaking his head Nick says “Not much. Just that it would take some time to stitch. And she might need some blood... She has lost a lot....”

Gareth joins the group and asks what happened. As the situation is explained to him Inari gets a bottle of whiskey, "I think we all need to settle our nerves a bit. No one can fight here long, except maybe the wyldfae and the Nighthawks. Its as if the entire place were insane and it gets to people."

Everyone settles by the fire to wait for word from the healers. Inaris thoughts are on the time spent in the pond and her hand shakes a bit as she passes the jug to Gareth.

As Inari glances up her eyes meet Torin's, the heat in their glances palpable....
