Tori grins at Stoney over their boards. Moments later the California Dreamin weaves its way into the music, followed closely by Monday Monday and Dream A Little Dream.

She sees Grace grin and start singing the words as Torrent laughs. Brownies. As much as Tori distrusts the race, she has to admit Torrent isn't half bad, and he treats Grace with respect, not offering any bargains or favors. His personal energy is dropping more and more. It took Tori a few days to put together what he was doing. Grace's health is still deteriorating, but not as quickly. She will have to talk to Torrent about payment for his care.

She smiles, thinking of the paintings that have been on display in front of the Gallery for the last few days. Grace had captured many of the regulars, not in an actual likeness, but in a way they could see themselves without being identified. One painting is of a woodland clearing. The Gargoyles playing instruments, surrounded by others dancing or playing in the woods. The other is of street like theirs. A woman clothed in vines tended a flower shop. Demifae tended window gardens. Mermaids swam in the town fountain. People walked the streets, something always showing that they were not human, be it tails, a few feathers, odd eyes, different ears...

Ron stops by the table to talk to Grace. The elderly woman hands him an envelope and he laughs. Earlier this evening he had stopped in the shop to comment on the "sculptor" in Grace's painting. The little man sported a white tipped bushy red tail and black tipped ears. It had only been a few days before that Grace learned her favorite sculptor was a werefox and put him in her new project.

Tori's favorite part was the Brownie and Leprechaun smoking pipes over a checker board on the porch of a shoe repair shop. The Brownie has on a chef's apron, while the Leprechaun has a stained leather one with a tap hammer in a loop. It has only been recently that Mr. Schuhmacher started playing checkers with Torrent outside the Gallery.

Tori throws herself into the music as Stoney takes the techno into classical.
