The T-shirt fit well enough. A little big, but not overly so. The jeans, well.... His body shape is overall slimmer than Erik's, although both are warriors. Keon cinches his belt tighter and looks in the mirror over the dresser. Not bad, he thinks.
At least I don't look Goddess ridden. Taking a deep breath, keon listens deeper. The song is not there. Good sign. He takes a few more minutes to braid back his hair.
Star and Erik are still sitting with Guunnar. It takes a few minutes for him to register who the werewolf by the table is. Keon smiles. Jeb.
"Welcome back, Jeb."
Ike calls Jeb's name, holding up the phone. With a "catch you later", Jeb heads back to the bar.
Star's eyes are black as she looks at Keon. He winces, but looks at the paper she is impatiently tapping.
"First, let me tell you that the Morrighan's Song is much like a Beserker Rage, but different. Fae who willingly give themselves to the Song become Morrighan's warriors. I accepted the Song into myself, but I did not give myself wholly to it. if I had stayed in the ring, I would have been lost to the Battle Crow."
He pauses a moment. "My House is the House of Night. We are the Shadow Sidhe. I gave up my seat at Mab's side when I accepted a place among the Dark Lords. I am still a noble. Just not the head of our House. That seat went to my older sister. We have a legend that one of the House of Night would be brought back to Day by One of the Star and Moons. I told it to Twillon a long time ago. I am glad he has a long memory."
He smiles a little. "Star and Moons... there has been an argument over that for centuries. Some say the wording was twisted, that it is Stars and Moon. Anyway... Twillon obviously believes that you are the Star. As for the moons... that could only be the cuts on your arms. They looked like crescent moons.
I am in your debt Lady Star. I am not sure I would have followed any male from the faery ring, nor even Raina. As beautiful as she is, Raina exudes the aura of a Warrior. Your energy is softer, something more nurturing. Also, you were the true reason we were all there. Your Justice, your call to leave me to the Morrighan or bring me out of Her song."
