I can't wait for us to settle Morgan's hash. It's taken a toll on us all, but especially on Raina, and especially since the Bloodbane incident. Even when she appears to be enjoying herself - as now - she's on the alert, watching, ceaselessly watching for the bitch's next move.

I smile, watching Gareth and K'thyri. Now there's an odd couple - but good for each other, I think. Gareth could stand to be a bit more spontaneous, and I think K'thyri could use someone to rein her in now and again. They're talking and laughing and playing grab-ass, almost oblivious to our presence. Perfect.

I'm kidding around with Raina, making suggestive remarks that are less than half in jest. She laughs, clapping a hand to her mouth to hold it in - and then, without warning, she goes silent and still as the grave. I say nothing, but follow her gaze, my own flicking over Alise and Star, just to be sure. I wonder what she's seen?
