Gareth opens his mouth to reply and Raina shakes her head, “Dont answer that. We better get ready.”

Raina takes a deep breath to calm herself. Her nerves are on edge, first the girl in the cloak and now this.

“Lets go in and try and tell Stoney and Ob first. The babies have to be protected and Alise is carrying another one. Damn... so is Cassie. Okay... Stoney and Alise were at the table next to me. Lets go sit with them and see if we cant get to the back room without attracting a lot of attention. Once Stoney knows he can do that mental thing, let Ob know. Then we better let Keon know. We'll see how it goes from there...”

Gareth nods and they enter the tavern. Raina tries to smile and flirt with him like theres nothing wrong. Nick watches and Raina can tell immediately from the look on his face that he isnt buying it. She winks at him as she walks by and pulls a chair up close to Stoney. Gareth moves over near the bar and orders a drink.

Alise laughs, “Raina. What are you doing?” She watches as Raina whispers to Stoney for a moment. The more Raina speaks to him the more worried his expression gets. Then she feels his mind reaching for hers.

Chaton, get the babies. Do not ask why, act like we are going to lay them down in the back room. Please, mon amour, it is very important to do exactly as Raina says. You can ask questions once we are there and out of sight... please...

Alise nods and tries to smile. She goes to the playpen and picks up Tomas, then Tara. The babies are suddenly quiet, sensing something wrong. Lobo wants to follow, but Star holds her tight in her lap. Alise tells her she is going to the back room to lay the babies down and Star frowns. She never does that...

Raina stops and talks to Gareth as Alise and Stoney go to the room. Glancing around the tavern, Nick seems to be the only one watching, everyone busy with their friends and drinks. A glance past the riders reveals Keon looking at her curiously so Raina cocks her head in the direction of the room Stoney and Alise have just entered. Keon follows a moment after Gareth.
