Keon grabs her wrist, one hand cupping her face, watching a tear fall silently.

“Lass, what is it? I wouldna make you do something you didnt like...”

Cassie shakes her head, “I know, its not that. You dont understand. Its my blood. Its poisonous... worse than any water snake. If our blood mixes, I dont know what will happen to you. Humans tend to die... horribly... and quickly... and some other supernaturals do too. I dont know if it would kill you or make you very sick. I know I couldnt live with myself if...” She shakes her head, “I dont even want to think about it....”

Cassie sighs and leans against Keon, worried that he would leave. She wanted to beg him to stay and to understand but she couldnt bring herself to do it. She bit the words back expecting him to go. No one stuck around for long once they realized she could kill them at the drop of a hat, not that she could blame them.
