As Ramji heads for the bar, Raina decides to ask him about the Greek. There were many countries she had visited in her travels and unfortunately Greece hadnt been one of them.
She approaches the bar and Ramji slowly. She didnt know him well, but he was a friend of Guunnars.
“Excuse me Ramji. If you arent too busy, can I ask you a couple of questions?”
Ramji dips his head, “Of course Raina. What can I help you with?”
“Well... that girl, the cloaked one, with the vampire. Nick has picked up a phrase or two that the vampire has said to her but he thinks the language is Greek. Do you or any of the riders understand Greek?”
Nodding Ramji replies, “I know of someone. We will join you at your table momentarily.”
“Thanks.” Raina asks Monty to bring a round of drinks when he sees who is joining them and returns to the table to wait. Nick is still listening intently and trying to look unconcerned as Ramji and another rider approach the table.“My friends, this is Dmitri. He can help us with the language.”
Raina smiles at the stocky dark haired man and shakes his hand. Not a handsome face but an open and friendly smile made up for it. Even though he looked happy to meet her and Nick she saw something in his eyes. Something that told her a person wouldnt want Dmitri for a enemy.
“Please..” Raina says, gesturing to the empty chairs at the table.
As the men sit Raina notices Ramji's eyes watching the girl too. She is silent and still as a statue while the vampire seems quite animated and flirting with the girls in the next booth.
Monty brings a tray of drinks and Star excuses herself and goes with Monty to find dinner for Lobo.
