Pandora can see the strain in Obsidian's face as he gets the call that the Drow are gone; and for now Star is safe. He had been pacing, he knew his place was protecting the tavern and all that dwelled within while the warriors were on patrol... and now fighting Drow; but it was not his cup of tea to sit back while fighting was going on.

"I know you'd rather be out in the thick of things,Ob; I'm sorry you are stuck defending the home front; I'm sure Stoney is just as frustrated ." His look told her she was right on... she slipped into his arms. "You will have your chance to defend us if its needed, now I am happy you are here with us."

Chloe was awake, she could hear her babbling away and unwound herself to go fetch her. "Our little one is bored; I'm bringing her down for awhile,she'll put a smile back on your face." When she entered the nursery, Absinthe flared her wings briefly until she realized it was Pandora... leaning down she took her daughter from the lap of the sleepy nanny "Get a little shuteye now, while you can".. she whispered; and hugging Chloe and planting kisses all over her neck she soon had her daughter giggling and together they descended the stairs.

Chloe's squeal when she saw Obsidian made him smile indeed... she leaned toward him in Pandora's arms  so far that she unbalanced herself and started to fall... then her wings unfurled and she lifted right before she reached the floor; just as Ob dived and tried to catch her. Pandora could not help laughing at the sight of Ob flat on the floor with his daughter hovering right above him... Chloe was distracted by his fall and she forgot to concentrate on her wings and landed right on top of him.


Obsidian sat up with Chloe clinging to his neck,giggling... and said to Pandora "Well,our daughter has mastered flying, at least enough to save herself when under duress; lets hope she can't manage it yet at will". Pandora was looking at Chloe's smile of delight and said ... "Let's really hope she forgets this."

Monty and Patti witnessed Chloe's feat and Monty came over bearing an ice cream cone for her... "Now my little angel can really fly"... Pandora was scowling at him as she put her fingers to her lips to silence the flying talk. Ob came up behind her and wound his arms around her waist... "You might as well give in bruha, she's my offspring and shes just as willful as I am... guess  we should think how to start training her." Pandora stiffened a little and turned in his arms... looking up into his eyes she said..."Do you think she'll keep trying now?"... Ob's nod gave her pause... "Wow, her timing is bad; we can't risk letting her out of our sight if there is danger she might try alone. I'll be sure the nanny and all the tavern employees are aware; so they'll watch too." Pandora sighed, "Never felt so left out... I can't fly after her."

Obsidian tightened his arms about her and murmured... "You are my bruha, wings or not... and it will work out, the girls will help train her." He kissed her, a kiss that grew deeper as their emotions wound round them both. Pandora surrendered to the kiss and forgot about Chloe's flight.....
