The next afternoon Tannr, Erik and Keon sat outside of the cabin near the willow tree Star had asked them to plant for her. She loved willows, there was one in the back of the cabin close to the woods that she had played under as child, hiding in the graceful long branches. Erik was about to yell at her when he saw her leave a bucket of water for the tree. But instead of carrying it, she placed it on Tigers back and balanced it as she and Tiger walked to the small willow tree.

Tannr had to choke down his laughter, Erik looked so exasperated. “She has to be the most stubborn creature alive...”

“Nae... she isnt. She is a strong lass, independent, determined. And ya nae would have her any other way, now would ya?” Keon is smiling too.

Erik grins, “No, I wouldnt....” He watches as Star waters the tree and scratches Tigers chin. She turns when she feels Eriks gaze, the breeze molding her top to her tummy and she walks towards him. He pulls her close and places a hand on her middle.”How is my little Warrior?”

Star laughs, “Fine. Doing somersaults in there I think...” She kisses Erik, “I have to get Mera, she should be awake by now...”

The three men watch as she goes into the cabin. Tannr clears his throat. “We need to decide how to best keep an eye on everyone and who is most at risk. So far it seems to be college kids, but that might change..”

The men discuss various options and decide that some kind of neighborhood watch needs to be started, focusing on the areas of the college and places the students hang out. They toss around several ideas to bring up at the meeting later on at the tavern.

“Brother, I know you have much on your mind but I have something I want you to think about.” Erik turns to Tannr and nods his head.

“We also need to keep an eye on Star at all times. If the ghouls cause any more commotion it would be a perfect time for the Drow to show up.”

Erik lets out his breath in a sigh and nods slowly.

“Aye, the lad has a point, Erik...”

“And then theres this....” Tannr looks from one to the other, “I really doubt if Queen Titania sent Inari here to keep an eye on some ghouls snacking on humans. She's watching for something else, either the Drow or something we dont know about yet...”
