Humming and singing to the babies, Alise cleans them up after their feeding. The sun is low in the sky and Stoney would be awake and with them soon.

Alise spreads a soft quilt on the floor near the fireplace and sits with the twins. She lays them on their backs and plays with them, tickling tummies and chins until they are both giggling and cooing at her. Alise rains kisses on their cheeks, “I love you so much my little ones.” Tomas starts to spit up and Alise reaches for a cloth to wipe his face. “We have to stay clean Tomas. We want to look nice for papan when we tell him our news..”

“And what news is that Chaton?”

Alise looks up to see Stoney leaning against the door way, his arms crossed in front of a bare chest. Alise smiles, not wanting to talk now, much preferring to gaze at her handsome husband.

Stoney, aware of her thoughts, returns the smile, “Later, Bebe. Tell me what news.”

“Well, you know the babies and I went to see Rowan today....

Stoney nods and moves to sit with her and the twins on the quilt. “Is there something wrong? Is Tara not growing enough, she is still so small...”

“Oh, no, the babies are fine, both of them. Tara is just going to be a small girl. Its me, I... I mean, I am fine...but....”

“Chaton, what is it?” Stoney raises a hand to caress her cheek, concerned that she had looked so worn lately, the dark circles under her eyes stood out from her pale skin.

Alise turns her head a bit and kisses Stoneys hand, “Je taime Chiot. You are going to be a papan again, I am having another baby.”
