The look on Keon's face is grim. Star's smile falters a little. His voice holds the gentle lilt of relaxation.

"Nay lass. The bad news is not for ye. We know who Morgan is after."

Trooper sticks his head out from under the table, next to Star's thighs. The Hound rolls his eyes up at her enticingly. As fierce a creature as he is, Trooper has taken a liking to the woman. He huffs, waiting for her attention
.
"Morgan approached me today. Have to admit, the Bitch has balls."

Trooper growls softly.

"Sorry laddie... no offense to yer mum."

Truant plops himself down on the table. He turns to face Erik and Star. His wings begin to blur, humming with his anger. "Stop the dramatics Ke. She wants Chloe. She's trying to get Keon to help her snatch Pandora and Obsidian's baby. Said so outright. Even suggested that Queen Mab would buy the kid."

"Peace Truant. She will not act yet. She is waiting for me to decide. But I am not her only option. So... we need to not let on about the gargoyle communication. That may be Chloe's saving grace.  I've not figured out who else spies for her, or if she uses another method for intel. It is not Gareth, that is for sure. But he also should be careful. She is a vindictive and dangerous woman."

He slides a book onto the table. It is a hefty tome, but not unwieldy. Opening the cover, he continues to speak.

"This book is old. It came to the library at the Stronghold by the last hand of the House of Sainmhi'niu'. Legends, and those who remember the People of that House, say they had the ability to see what lies ahead, to know. They were advisers to the Courts for centuries."

Keon began to flip pages. "I remember stories told at Court about a prophecy. A Darkness is to rise and strike at the Courts. Hope is to come from the joining of Mortal Realm and Faery Realm. One of both bloods would be the Hope of All." His brow furrows and Keon looks at Star. "According to the stories, the One has eyes that change colors and the strength of arm of a Warrior sire."

He pauses, resting his hand on the page. A sadness leaks into his eyes as he looks up at Star. "Some blamed the prophecy on the members of a House known for changing eyes. There were attempts to wipe out the House." He sighs. "The last member of the House disappeared from Faery almost a hundred years ago. It was thought he hid himself here, in the human realm."
