I watch Raina and the strange girl talking. Dammit, I have to learn her name; no one's ever told me what it is. The girl is painfully shy, or perhaps more than shy. She's also hard as hell to read.

She's also gorgeous, and I feel like I've been struck to the heart in one stroke. What the hell's wrong with you? A girl like that, she isn't going to be interested in a plain-as-dirt guy like you…. She laughs then, and the sound of it  makes me smile, almost makes me laugh, too. Raina says she's an empath. Is it possible she can project emotion, too? Or is it just her?

She seems to like animals. Hmmmm, maybe I should introduce her to Tiger, or Wolf….
