Stars eyes widen at the sight of the sword. Its not that she has never seen one, Raina has a knife she always carries and Rowan has one in her house, near the front door. This one is bigger than any she has seen.
“Ppp..pumpkin?” and Star laughs thinking Erik looks nothing like a pumpkin...
Before she takes Eriks arm, Star leans over Alise, giving her a hug and stroking the babies in Alises belly. “Sssoon, they are cc..coming soon...” She gives Stoney a shy smile, and pats at her pocket, where she put the business card.
Taking Eriks arm they walk out of the tavern and into the night. Its dark, but still early, people hurrying by on the sidewalk, paying no attention to the couple. Star was hesitant at first when Rowan asked Erik about taking her home. No one ever came to her house except Rowan. And her and Erik would really be alone together. She was a little nervous about him seeing her house, she knew it was nothing fancy, but it was all she had of her mothers, that and the necklace she always wore. I hope he doesnt ask why the bedroom door is nailed shut and closed off. I dont want to tell him, if he knows he wont want to be with me anymore.
