Alise had a pretty good idea of what Pandora was going to say. She had noticed her looking at her belly then rubbing her hand across her own. Alise struggles to sit up, and Stoney momentarily roused from his shock helps her.
Reaching for Pandora's hand she says, “I cannot speak for how Barbare will react to this. But you have to tell him. If your baby grows as fast as mine have he will notice. And then he will think you were trying to hide it from him, and that would not be good. I know he is at odds with himself right now, but I cannot imagine he would turn his back on you and the little one.”
Stoney is still silent and Alise has a moment of anxiety, hoping that he was blocking the news when he heard it.....
