Alise laughs quietly, “Je taime Remi, but you cannot die on me now, no matter the reason. I need you, the babies need you...”

Her face suddenly freezes, her arms wrap around her belly. “Ooww... see? They want out, it is too crowded in there... Those strange feelings are getting more uncomfortable...”

Stoney holds her close and tells her to rest, that she will need her all her strength for the birthing.

Alise nods and is quiet.

Stoney can feel her fear, not as intense as earlier in the pregnancy, just fear of the unknown. He whispers and sings to her in French, reassuring her until he feels her relax and sleep.
